At Communications Rebel, I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to my website, CommunicationsRebel.com. I want you to know in particular that Communications Rebel is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. I just don’t do that sort of thing. But just in case you don’t believe me, in this Privacy & Cookies Policy, I’ve provided detailed information on when and why I collect your personal information, how I use it, and how I keep it secure. Analytics

When someone visits communicationsrebel.com I use third-party services, WP Statistics and Google Analytics, to collect standard Internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. I do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my website.

Cookies

Like most websites, Communications Rebel uses cookies to collect information.  Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smart ‘phones or ‘tablets’) as you browse this website.  They are used to ‘remember’ when your computer or device accesses my website.

Some cookies collect information about browsing behavior when you access this website via the same computer or device.  This includes information about pages viewed and your journey around this website.  I do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, address or other personal contact details.

By approving to the use of cookies for publicly available data, the cookies will gather statistics for the purpose of determining which search engines, referring sites, key words, etc., bring visitors to my website, which pages visitors are most interested in, what web browsers are used, etc. Various providers may be used for this purpose. Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for my e-newsletter, I collect personal information: name and email address. I use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked me to tell you about; to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; to check my records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. I don’t rent or trade email lists with other organizations and businesses.

I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver my emails to you. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my emails. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails or by emailing me, Nina Grenningloh Reyes.

Occasions for Information Disclosure

I do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist Communications Rebel in operating the site, conducting my business or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep that information confidential.

I may also release your information when I believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies or protect Communications Rebel’s or others’ rights, property or safety.

Third Party Links

At my discretion, Communications Rebel may include or offer third party products or services. Third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Communications Rebel has no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of any linked sites. However, I do welcome any feedback about these sites.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance

I value your privacy and have taken pre-emptive precautions to be in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), going into effect May 25, 2018.

As part of the GDPR, all subscribers to the Communications Rebel newsletter may remove or modify any information previously provided to Communications Rebel by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link that may be found at the bottom of every Communications Rebel email. Mailing lists are stored at the list server that delivers my emails – in this case Mailchimp – until such time as a request for removal is received.

Your Consent
