Life In My Days is a young non-profit, founded by Ahmad Abojaradeh, with the mission to celebrate life, promote wellness, acceptance, and love. The site is Ahmad’s idea and expression of freedom encouraging us to live a whole-hearted life beyond any social constructs.

As Ahmad writes on Life In My Days, “We will laugh, we will cry. We will be because we can, because it’s our inherent right as humans. Just like it’s our right to live in peace, free from oppression and injustice regardless of our race, sex, orientation, religion and anything else.”

“We need a space of belonging to start difficult conversations.”

Ahmad, who has struggled with mental illness since his childhood, wants to create a space where we can all belong. And in just a short time, a little over a year, tens of thousands of people have joined him. Says Ahmad, “A team of passionate individuals have helped develop Life in My Days into a non-profit that strives to start difficult conversations all around the world, specializing in having conversations around mental health and disabilities, social justice, abuse and trauma, and so many more topics that have historically been taboo.”

Interview with Ahmad Abojaradeh

I was able to connect with Ahmad and ask him personally about his motivation to start Life In My Days, his experience with mental illness, and how Life In My Days is engaging people around these difficult, life-altering conversations.

Check out Life In My Days and the writing program, RAGE, that starts on September 16.
